OUR STORY
Highland Shepherd Huts opened to guests in July 2019 with our first hut (Coorie) and with all that has happened we have come through the other side excited about the future and have stuck to our business plan and continued investment.
In August 2020 we added our second hut (Bothan).
Zoe manages the business with a little help from Nic. (Quite a lot of help really).
Designed to share the unspoiled and scenic tranquility of the Cairngorm National Park. This is glamping at it’s best with breathtaking mountain views in a vast open vistas.
The first Hut was built by Nic in his workshop and during the build his team arrived to do the groundworks - all of this was completed in under 4 weeks. We currently have 3 Shepherd huts (Coorie,Bothan & Alba).
In August 2021 we added an offgrid Horsebox lorry body to give an alternative stay for our guests.
October 2021 we finished our communal Cookhouse allowing guests to BBQ in all weather.
March 2023 we have added our 3rd hut (Alba)
We are open all year round and when the changeover's are complete you will more than likely find us in the winter skiing in the hills and in the Summer walking in them alongside 3 children.
Our Shepherd’s huts have been designed to nestle into the landscape without impacting on the beauty of the surrounding area. Situated only minutes away from Nethy Bridge in the heart of the Cairngorms, the Highland Shepherd Hut concept is to offer the opportunity to step back from everyday life, relax, unwind and embrace a slower, Highland pace, whilst still enjoying the comforts of modern living in luxury glamping accommodation.
